The most successful children are often the ones with strong play skills who are able to make and keep friends. Come explore how to facilitate, expand and encourage these skills in your classroom environments. Participants will leave with strategies to support growth in young children.
Training Objectives:
1 . By the end of this session, learners will understand the developmental progression of play skills.
2 . By the end of this session, learners will identify the different types of play.
3 . By the end of this session, learners will demonstrate how to break down, teach and reinforce friendship skills in their class.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
