Join us for an unforgettable weekend at Downsview Airport Lands (YZD) on August 17-18 2024! The historic 2km runway will be transformed into a playground of exhilarating activities and endless possibilities all set against breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline.

This isn’t just an event—it’s a weekend of free play and boundless fun. Come rain or shine bring your loved ones and immerse yourself in a world of excitement and adventure on the runway.

What’s in Store:

• Bring Your Wheels: Whether it’s bicycles rollerblades skateboards scooters unicycles tricycles or strollers there’s ample space for everyone to explore and enjoy the open tarmac.
• Test the Latest Toys: Dive into fun with the newest electric scooters and bikes. Rent roller skates learn to skateboard or challenge your friends in Giant Foosball mini stick 3x3 hockey or a game of Giant Jenga.
• Exciting Performances: Be amazed by vibrant rollerdancing shows and mesmerizing Hula dancers. Enjoy musical performances and delight in the Ultimutts a unique stunt show featuring talented cats and dogs!
• Kite Extravaganza: Gaze at the sky as the Toronto Kite Fliers Club puts on a stunning display of gigantic kites. These intricate international designs will soar high adding a splash of color and wonder to the skyline.
• Food Trucks & Activities: Satisfy your cravings with delicious bites from a variety of food trucks. There’s something for everyone to enjoy while you immerse yourself in the event’s many activities.

GETTING HERE & PARKING

• Free parking is available across from Robert Leek Park at 3 Hanover Road if you're driving.
• A complimentary shuttle bus will run every 15 minutes from Wilson Station. Pick up is at the Manulife property at Billy Bishop.
• If you’re taking transit take the number 120 Calvington from Wilson Station or along Sheppard Jane or Keele if coming from the west. Hop off at Maniza and Powell Road and walk one block east.
• If walking the gate is a 20 minute walk from Wilson Station and a 30 minute walk from Downsview Library.

WHAT TO BRING

• A confirmation email to show gate staff either on your phone or as a printout
• Kids of all ages
• Dogs on leashes
• Bikes skateboards roller skates rollerblades balls kites frisbees sidewalk chalk
• Sunscreen a hat and water
• A non-perishable food donation to the North York Harvest Food Bank

WHAT TO LEAVE AT HOME

• Anything that flies including drones
• Anything that leaves a permanent mark on the runway including paint

KEEP IN MIND

• Participants must stay on the Runway and are not permitted on the grass.
• Everyone in your party should be included in your total registration number.
• There will be photographers on site and Northcrest Developments may use the photos. By participating you and your guests acknowledge that your image may be captured and used online or in print in the future.

FOOD DONATION

The North York Harvest Food Bank will be on-site at the Play on the Runway. They will be collecting non-perishable food items to contribute to their goal of raising 100000 lbs of food. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item such as one of the food bank’s top five needed items:

• Canned meat
• Canned Tomatoes
• Canned beans chickpeas & lentils
• Cooking oil
