PLAY MISTY is a folk / Americana trio based in Bristol, UK.Their sound is built around luscious, warm three-part harmonies, intertwining acoustic guitars and soaring flute. Their original material takes inspiration from acts like John Prine, George Harrison, Bonnie Raitt and CSNY.
This will be a very special gig. Normally an acoustic trio, I-Sha-Vii, Ryan McMurtry, and Sophie Jones will be joined by a full band, featuring Dan Weltman on violin/mandolin, Joseph Trudgeon on double bass, and Max Harrison on drums.
This show will be the culmination of Play Misty's Summer tour promoting their new release, 'At the Cube'. The EP was recorded live at the Microplex, using grass roots venues funding from Arts Council England. Please come early and support the venue through purchases at the bar.

Ilaina Lowe is a singer-songwriter based in Bristol. Accompanying herself on bouzouki or guitar, she likes to sing folksy and soulful ditties, drawing inspiration from artists such as Vashti Bunyan, Ichiko Aoba and Lianne La Havas.
ALEX DOVER & THE WALCOT STREET BAND
Alex Dover combines poignant lyrics, deft guitar work, and a razor-sharp ear for melody. Likened to other singer-storytellers such as John Martyn, John Prine, and Nic Jones, Alex’s songs are always refreshingly original, articulating the hopes, dreams and struggles of the ordinary with a wry lyrical flourish and his trademark melodic guitar.
