Play! Discover! Share! Goes Wild: SEND Living Theatre Workshop (4-10years)
About this Event
About the session
Though all our Play! Discover! Share! Goes Wild events are SEND friendly, this day is specifically designed for families with children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities. We recommend this workshop for 4 -10 year olds. A ticket is only required for each participating child but we kindly ask for parents and guardians to supervise their children at all times.
Where possible please book your place in advance, we will have limited spaces on the day for drop-in participants.
About Play! Discover! Share! Goes Wild
This summer, Play! Discover! Share! Goes Wild invites families to step outside, get creative and reconnect with nature in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Spring Road Spinney, this special three-day event brings together imaginative play, storytelling, performance and hands-on activities inspired by the natural world. Building on the much-loved Play! Discover! Share! programme, this outdoor version encourages children and families to explore, create and share ideas together.
Whether you’re crafting, listening to stories, trying something new or simply enjoying time together outdoors, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Useful to know
This is an outdoor event, and while there will be areas of cover and shade please do come prepared for the weather. We recommend bringing:
- A water bottle
- A picnic (and a picnic blanket if you have one)
- Sunscreen and a hat
- A jumper or waterproof if the weather isn't so warm
There are toilet and hand-wash facilities on site. There is a dedicated Quiet Zone.
There is limited free parking on Spring Road. The Spinney is approximately 15 minutes walk from the town centre. The entrance to the Spinney is opposite St Catherine's Nursing Home, through a wooden gate.
