Play Discover Share: Collage (11 -15 years)

About the session
We recommend this workshop for 11-15 year olds.
Using a range of papers, textures, and images, participants will explore the art of collage and create their own unique artwork. They can cut, tear, layer, arrange, and experiment with different shapes, colours, and patterns to bring their ideas to life. There’s no right or wrong way to make a collage - just plenty of opportunities to explore, discover, and create.
Young people are very welcome to visit the gallery independently. Parents or guardians are not required to stay, but please note that the gallery cannot take responsibility for unaccompanied visitors. For added reassurance, phone chargers are available on site so 11+ visitors can easily stay in touch with parents.
Where possible please book your place in advance, we will have limited spaces on the day for drop-in participants. Please arrive no later than 5 minutes after the start time, otherwise your spot may be given to another waiting family.
Some activities may be messy, please wear clothes appropriate for each activity.

If you have a child with special educational needs or disabilities, here are a few ways we can support your visit:
· Make yourself known to one of our friendly Family Learning Volunteers in the workshop and they can support you with any questions
· We have 2x sensory bags available at reception with a range of fidget toys, cuddly toys, sunglasses and ear defenders
· The main gallery for Play! Discover! Share! has a dedicated SEN Quiet Space for you to use

Photography During Event
During Play! Discover! Share! activities, Broadway Gallery may take photographs and videos for promotional purposes.
During the booking process, parents and guardians will be asked whether they consent to themselves and/or their child being photographed. Providing consent is entirely optional and will not affect your ability to participate in any activity.
If you do not wish to be photographed, we will ensure this preference is communicated to our photographer and respected throughout your visit.
Images may be used by Broadway Gallery and Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation in promotional materials, including websites, social media channels, printed publications and funding reports.
