Play Day! with Play More Charlotte

Play Day is an adults-only event bringing Charlotteans together to explore a more playful version of adulthood!

Forget the social expectations of "being a grown-up" for the morning, and join us for bubble blasters, parachute games, silent disco musical chairs, stomp rocket relays, and more.

You deserve to play more! This is a child-free, adults-only event so that all participants can focus on their own play, rest, and wonder.

What To Expect:

We'll kick off the morning together at 9:00 with a playful welcome Then, you will be free to explore our play stations with playmakers at each to help you build community through joy!

• Fort Building with giant LEGO blocks and giant tinker toys!

Need a breather? Pop-out of your group's station whenever you need to and visit one of our playful rest stations:

• Puddle painting with local artist and professional playful person, Tuxedo Kat!
• Coloring books
• Bubble blasters
• Board games
• Snap a selfie in the Play More Charlotte tiny ball pit!
• Shop with our playful vendors!

We'll celebrate the end of Play Day together at 11:30 with a dance party!

What To Bring:

Come in clothes you can move in! Playful, bright colors are welcome, but definitely not required. Come as you are, in whatever attire makes you feel comfortable and excited to PLAY MORE. We will provide nametags at check-in so that you can share your name and pronouns. We will also provide water, and there will be snack and beverage vendors on site with items for purchase. No weapons, outside food, or children will be admitted to Play Day. This event is for adults only.

Accessibility:

DISABLED PEOPLE DESERVE TO PLAY! If you have mobility needs, a hearing or vision impairment, or any other disability that requires accomodations for you to enjoy Play Day comfortably, please contact us directly on Instagram @playmorecharlotte at least 2 weeks before the event so that we can work with you and do our very best to accomodate your needs. Victoria Yards is a spacious venue that is accessible for wheelchair users. However, the restrooms on site are portajons.

This is an outdoor venue. Folding chairs and picnic tables will be available for sitting. Hand sanitizer and face masks will be available at the First Aid Station for those who would like to use them.

Blue line to 7th Street Station

Bus stops at College St. & 6th St or Caldwell & 7th St

If you arrive by car, feel free to take advantage of free 2-hour parking across the street at The Market at 7th St, available only with a purchase from a market vendor.
