Platicamos Con Plantitas

Join us for plant bingo as we take a casual walk and learn from a local botanist about plants at the Cosumnes River Preserve. The event time is set between 9am - 12pm. We will be going on a guided trail walk approximately 2 miles long. There will be a bingo sheet, clipboards and pens for volunteers who wish to participate. After our walk, we will discuss what we saw in addition to providing information on the wildlife habitat. The preserve will be available to continue to explore for everyone.

Make sure to bring sturdy walking shoes for a dirt trail, dress for the weather, and use sunscreen. Expect perfect spring weather but conditions could change between now and the event. Bring a water bottle and friendly reminder there is a water filling station available at the preserve. Restroom facilities are also located at the visitor center. Please be aware there is Poison Oak at the preserve.

We will meet at the visitor center. Once you find either parking lot, you will walk towards the front of the center. Look for the Latino Outdoors banner.

Latino Outdoors activities are free and in service to our communities. Our volunteer leaders donate time and energy to plan these experiences, paying close attention to the number of people each event can accommodate. Please honor your reservation, and if you are unable to attend an event that you signed up for, take a moment to cancel your reservation so that another community member may participate and volunteer organizers can plan accordingly.
