Join us for a special preview of our Autumn exhibitions, as we welcome a new season of art at Aspex.
About the exhibitions
Platform presents the work of 10 artists launching their artistic careers following graduation. Part of a regional initiative established by CVAN South East (Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East) in 2012, Platform aims to support emerging talent at a key moment of transition. This year’s award features exhibitions at three partner organisations across the South East and West, including Aspex Portsmouth; Modern Art Oxford; Phoenix Art Space in Brighton; MIRROR at Arts University Plymouth.
On the evening, Joanne Bushnell, Director of Aspex, will announce Aspex’s winner for this year’s Platform Graduate Award, who will receive a £500 bursary and six months of mentorship from Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East CVAN SE.

Stacey Allan, Eloise Gleave (UCA Farnham), Grace Atkins, Yasmin Jabi (Winchester School of Art), Roxanne Bennett, Kilandy Buange (Southampton Solent University), Paul Coman, Eddie Stenstrom (University of Portsmouth), Maria Sayako Aoyama, Yasmin Seyfollahi (Arts University Bournemouth).
Artist networking
From 5.30pm, we invite artists for an extra half an hour of the preview to take advantage of an opportunity for networking. Whether you live locally or further afield, pop in to meet other artists and make new connections, or catch up with peers already known to you.

As an arts and educational charity, we greatly appreciate any donations you are able to make to ensure we can continue to deliver an enriching programme of free exhibitions, activities and more.
Artist networking
From 5:30pm, we invite artists and art workers to arrive early for an additional half-hour of networking before the main preview begins. This is a chance to connect with friends and peers, make new connections, and learn more about Aspex.
Accessibility
The exhibition is located in our Main Gallery on the ground floor, with step-free access. Large-print exhibition texts will be available at the gallery entrance. More information on accessibility at Aspex can be found on our website here
The Platform Graduate Award 2025 is on display at Aspex Portsmouth from 24 October 2025 – 30 November 2025.
