Plaster Casting Workshop (Nature-themed)

Join artist and maker Tara Joy for a creative workshop in which you will learn how to make your own beautiful flower nature-themed plaster cast pieces of artwork. No previous experience is necessary.

In this experimental course you will learn how to make your own wonderful nature-cast tiles, creating your own unique pieces of artwork. During the course you will learn the various steps to making your own bass relief flower and nature plaster cast tiles.

The course will cover rolling out the clay, designing and arranging the flowers and creating your own mould for the casting process. You will make 2 rectangular casts on the day.

There will be flowers and foliage for you to choose from but bringing along a very small bunch of flowers / herbs / leaves / wildflowers / grasses picked by you will enable you to make a really personal tile.

Cost: £75 per person - includes all materials and equipment use.

Skill level - suitable for beginners.
