Plaque Unveiling at Tracadie Cross Consolidated School

The Community of Tracadie Cross will be unveiling a plaque on the site of the former Tracadie Cross Consolidated School, Station Road, on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Former students, parents, teachers and interested persons are invited to attend.
The school was opened in 1961 incorporating school districts from Afton Road, Blooming Point, Donaldston, Glen Roy, Ten Mile House and Tracadie Cross.
In 2009 the school was closed and students were bused down the road to Mt. Stewart. In 2014 the school was torn down.
Three local groups cooperated on this venture - the Tracadie Good Neighbourly Club, Tracadie Lions Club and the Tracadie Community Centre.
Following the unveiling, refreshments will be served at the Tracadie Community Centre.
