Date: Friday, June 7, 2024, 5pm - 7:30pm Location: Clay Fusion Gallery, located inside Cecy’s Gallery, 417 Foster St, Durham, NC 27701
Enjoy creating with good community surrounded by enchanting local art while you design and sculpt two flower pots, perfect for small plants and succulents! You will be provided with cream-white clay from which you can make 2 small pots. We will use the pinch pot and coil method, and you can use carving tools and stamps to decorate the surface if you choose. You have the option to purchase 1 easy-care succulent ($5 add-on, see link below) to come with your completed pots, which can remain in these pots for at least 3 years.
At the end of class, I will take your pots to my studio to be fired, waxed, glazed, and fired again. You will have the choice between a sky blue or clear glaze. They will be dishwasher safe. Your pots will be available for pick-up at Clay Fusion Gallery in Cecy’s Gallery Durham once they are finished.
