About this Event
A cover crop is a quick growing crop that is planted primarily to keep soil covered for a short period of time before being cut down or chopped into the soil as “green manure” or be composted. Come learn from Claudia of Portland Nursery about the many other benefits of growing cover crops in your home garden. She will discuss how to select the right cover crop for your space and needs, when and how to sow your seeds, and what to do with your cover crop in the spring.
