Come along to our free event - the Nature in the City Plantathon at Minogue Park! 🌳 We’ve set a goal to increase Hamilton’s less than 2% native vegetation to 10% by 2050! That’s hundreds of thousands of plants across more than 1000 hectares to be restored and we’re aiming to plant 15,000 plants over three weekends in July.
📅 Pop it in the calendar and spare a Saturday! Come down with a spade and some gloves (if you have them). Bring your friends, whaanau and together let’s restore Nature in the City. 🌱
We’ll also be hosting plantings at Sandford Park and Hillcrest Stadium. They’ll even be a sausage sizzle and some tunes on to get us in the planting spirit! ♫
💧 Please bring a water bottle, sensible clothing, shoes and even a rain jacket.
🚲 We’d encourage you to bike or walk – the kids will love it! There will be limited parking at the event sites.
