About this Event

Join Friends of Minnehaha Park, Metro Blooms and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Horticulture leads to install the Turf to Pollinator Garden at Minnehaha Regional Park. In partnership with Wilderness in the City, we are planting a garden that will transform an area of buckthorn, degrading turf, and other invasives near the swim beach at the lower creek glen into a vibrant pollinator garden. Bring your gardening gloves and enthusiasm as we work together to create a welcoming space for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

The project will need the help of a team of energized volunteers and multiple partners over 2 days, W. May 29 and Th. May 30, of 3 hours each, 9:00am-12:00pm. We'll provide tools, training and refreshments. Sign up separately on Eventbrite for one or both days.

Let's make a positive impact on our environment while enjoying the beauty of nature!

This project is in partnership with Wilderness in the City, Metro Blooms, and MPRB. Funding for this project was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).
