The Museum is hosting their first annual fall In-Service Science day. This is a great way for your 5th through 9th grade student to get to interact with real museum scientists and spend time in the great outdoors. From 1-3, students will work in our herbarium collection, creating a field guide for their personal use in the second half of the program. From 3-5, students will tour the Edson Fichter Nature Area, owned by Idaho Fish and Game. They will use their field guide to identify the plants at Edson Fichter as well as explore the differences between museum specimens and specimens found in the wild.
Registration is limited to the first 20 students, and is first paid-first served (payment in advance is available at the museum Tue-Sat). The cost is $15/student for members, $20/student for non-members. Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation to the museum and to/from Edson Fichter.
Registration is required.
