About this Event
Piloted in 2021, "WELLderness: An Outdoor Wellness Series" was developed to bring members of the community together (in person and online) to engage in activities that would have a positive impact on their physical and mental health and well-being. Throughout the year, people have the opportunity to participate in FREE events that center around fostering better connections to self and the environment.
**Masks are no longer required. They remain optional for those who wish to wear one during a Friends event**
About the Instructor
Najai is a young woman using therapeutic horticulture to make positive changes in her community and the world of nature. As a mother of 2 children and former teacher for world schooling families, her gentle guidance through strong emotions make each session feel affirming and uplifting.
What you will be doing
Plant Prayers is a culturally rooted therapeutic horticulture session that guides participants in crafting kokedama (moss ball planters) infused with personal prayer intentions. This experience blends African healing traditions with the art of plant care, encouraging mindfulness, self-reflection, and long-term goal setting. Participants will sculpt their own kokedama, embedding their intentions into the soil as a symbolic act of planting prayers for their personal journey. Explore therapeutic horticulture concepts while sculpting a kokedama home for your favorite indoor plant.
