Many seeds native to the east coast including some lovely wildflowers require specific conditions to germinate. We will work through several techniques for germination and each guest will take home 5 individual starter pots for wildflowers that will thrive in containers and in their yard. Ticket cost includes all materials for 5 small eco starter pots and seeds, plus all tools needed for germination. We'll also talk briefly about how artificial indoor germination can be helpful when dealing with climate change and rapidly fluctuating seasonal climate changes in Virginia
Wildflowers:
New Jersey Tea (Ceonothus americanus)
Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis)
Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis)
Spotted Bee Balm (Monarda punctata)
Lupinis perennis (Sundial lupine)
2 are edible, all are attractive to local pollinators (especially butterflies... and even a very rare butterfly.)

Workshop is from 3-5 PM, stick around after for a HAPPY HOUR and seed swap from 5-7 and then a FREE Jazz Night from 8-11 PM!
