About this Event

Plant Magic Cafe Presents: Racial Equity & Psychedelics Spring Series

Plant Magic is acknowledging the significance of doing racial equity work within the psychedelic field. We’re inviting you to do it with us. While anyone is welcome, this series is curated for white folks who want to better understand and disrupt structural racism. Join us for a series of 3 introductory primers on Racial Equity, facilitated by Rachael K Sharp. This is a series with a throughline, however each session can also stand alone and people are invited to attend any or all of the sessions. Together we will build relationships, skills, and tools for the journey!

Session 2 -  Identity, Power & Oppression

The second session in our Racial Equity series will be a dynamic and creative exploration of identity, power, and oppression, supporting more nuanced conversations about race, racism, and psychedelics.. Identity shapes how we experience the world, awareness of this is fundamental to building relationships across differences. Understanding power dynamics and systems of oppression are also critical for creating truly inclusive and accessible spaces.
