Plant Camp is in session! Join Natalia in the classroom on Saturday August 22nd at 10:15am for another installment of our Summer Camp series.
This is a two-part class, in the seminar portion 10:15am - 11:15am - Natalia will identify common pollinators and insects that can be found in our Sacramento gardens. Discover pollinators and beneficial insects, from the popular honey bee to the lesser known lacewing. Natalia will discuss the importance of these tiny critters, why your garden needs them, and how to attract them. You’re sure to walk away from this class with a newfound love for bugs, whether a fluttering butterfly or parasitic wasp.
After the seminar portion and a short (15min) break, Natalia will step students through planting a Pollinator Paradise container garden. Students will use a curated selection of annual and perennial pollinator plants, a 12x9 terracotta pot, plus saucer and decorative rock to create a striking pollinator garden and a safe drinking station for bees, butterflies and more! Registration fee of $80 includes all material and instruction.
There are two ways to sign up for this session of Plant Camp. If you're only interested in the pollinator information, sign up for the seminar portion of Plant Camp by itself at a cost of $30. Your portion of the class will end at 11:15am. If you're interested in learning all about pollinators as well as creating your own pollinator paradise habitat, the complete plant camp package is available for $80. PLUS with either signup, you'll receive a 15% off coupon good towards your purchases made the day of your workshop.
As with all of our workshops, there are no refunds offered for cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop. This includes requests for a gift card. Class will be held indoors with a max occupancy of 20 registered participants. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests.
