“Planning Sheffield’s New City Centre – the challenges and the expectations”
· Town and City centres have struggled everywhere to compete with online shopping and out-of-town malls plus the drastic reduction in department stores. If shopping is changing how can centres like Sheffield retain its attraction?
· The plan is for 35,000 residents to create a strong community, with 50 new shopping outlets creating an interesting destination that's attractive to visit and live there.
· Here's an opportunity to hear and question the people behind the plan.
· We have secured two great speakers:
* Michael Johnson - Head of Planning Sheffield City Council
* Alan Seasman - Interim Head of Regeneration at Sheffield City Council
* Don't miss the only opportunity this year to hear the people driving the changes.
Organised by www.ChangingSheff.org - the residents’ association for 27,000 people living in the city centre
