Planned Giving
Presented by Lou Friedman and Amy Jeffries
Gianelli | Friedman | Jeffries | McKernan
Planned giving allows for generous, impactful contributions to charitable causes, offering both significant personal benefits and support for vital missions. Planned gifts are typically much larger than typical annual donations, providing substantial financial support for the organization's mission. Planned giving refers to providing for a charitable organization in your donor's financial and estate plans, allowing for a larger gift than they could make from their income alone. Common methods include charitable bequests, gift annuities, and gifts from retirement accounts or life insurance policies. Benefits for donors can include tax deductions and the ability to leave a significant legacy, while nonprofits receive substantial funding for their missions. Donors can have a lasting impact through support of a cause they believe in by naming your nonprofit as a beneficiary.
Does your nonprofit have a planned giving program in place? If so, what are best practices for managing it? If not, is it time to consider creating one? What are some good ways to begin the conversation around planned giving.
Join AFP Yosemite on September 4th to learn the ins and outs of planned giving program from expert trust attorneys Louis "Lou" Friedman and Amy Jeffries.
