Greetings SFAS Aquarists,For the Month of Febuary, We are having Michael Köck presenting on Goodeids.
About the Speaker:
Michael Köck, born in 1968, is an Austrian biologist who dedicates his life to freshwater fish conservation. After holding for 18 years in the Haus des Meeres – Aqua Terra Zoo in Vienna the position as a curator, he changed it in 2025 to Freshwater Conservation Manager. Since 2023, he is living in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, were he runs Plan G Mexico, a 10 years conservation plan for Mexico’s Goodeid Fishes. In 2009 he was the driving force in founding the Goodeid Working Group, an international group encompassing hobbyists, zoos, museums, public aquariums and schools who are interested in the fish families Goodeids and Profundulids.
Auction is open to the public. Anyone is welcome to bid on items for sale at the auction, but selling is limited to SFAS members only.
