Places in our Hearts

Join us for light drinks and refreshments in the Waverley Library Galleries with the Joie de Vivre painters.

Joie de Vivre is a group of seven local painters who came together, originally taking classes and painting outside as a collective. This exhibition showcases various memories and places that the group loves. From a grandparents' garden to a bushwalk, seaside holidays, or just their everyday surroundings, the exhibition showcases a series of places that are special to the artists.

As painters, Joie de Vivre describes being subject to strong emotions about places. These artists transmit such emotions by picking up the brush.

The group is composed of Alannah Best, Irene Harris, John Knott, Robyn Langford-Brown, Luce Lopez, François Perez and Viki Menlove.
