We’re incredibly grateful to our community for the many wonderful years of Barktoberfest. As we say goodbye to this longtime favorite tradition, we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new event that captures the same heart, energy, and compassion: Wag & Walk!

Get your leash, rally your pack, and join us for Placer SPCA’s first-ever community fun run for animal lovers and their canine companions. Explore the beautiful trails of Johnson-Springview Park while choosing your route:

• 2.5K (about 1.55 miles) – a fun, easy pace for all ages and energy levels
• 5K (about 3.1 miles) – for those who want to stretch their legs (and paws) a bit farther

No matter which route you choose, you’ll be walking side by side with a community of animal advocates, raising funds to provide shelter, care, and second chances for pets in need. Expect tail wags, smiling faces, and plenty of photo-worthy moments along the way.

In addition to the walk, enjoy pet-focused vendors, food trucks, live demonstrations, and fun for the whole family (including your canine companions)!

Every step makes a difference. Whether you’re a pet lover, a loyal Placer SPCA supporter, or a local business looking to connect with the community, Wag & Walk offers something for everyone.
