Join us as this neighbourhood famous Pizzeria 113 Eatery in Northcote proudly open their doors to us in sharing their story and inspiring us to make and enjoy their signature pizzas! Head Pizzaiolo Edoardo Nicita will teach us how to make their signature pizzas from scratch with optional non-vegan and vegan toppings.

What You Will Learn

In the first half of this fun and hands-on class, Head Pizzaiolo Edoardo will provide a detailed demonstration before guiding you step by step how to create your own pizza dough from scratch! You will take this pizza dough home with you in order to allow for it to rest, and then create your own pizza at home!

In the second half of this class, you will receive a pre-made, rested pizza dough created by Shop 225, which you will learn how to stretch and shape in the traditional fashion. Chef Edo will then demonstrate how to recreate a selection of their signature pizzas including Margherita and Truffle Mushroom. We will then enjoy a sit down lunch, devouring our pizza creations together along with 113’s homemade Vegan Nutella and Pistachio Pizza!

By the end of this class, you will have gained the confidence and knowledge to create your own traditional pizza, whilst also learning where to source the freshest seasonal and local ingredients!

Your host this afternoon will be Head Pizzaiolo Edoardo Nicita of Shop 225 & 113 Eatery in Melbourne. It was late 2016 when this humble pizza shop was opened in Pascoe Vale South. However this suburban pizzeria has already attracted a cult following of locals and people across town with its simple Italian ethos, vegan and gluten free offering. In 2018 we became the first accredited Gluten Free pizza shop in Australia accredited by Coeliac Australia. The restaurant’s focus is traditional home-made pastas and wood fired pizza made from 72-hour leavening dough. Shop 225's recipes have attracted a cult following of locals and people across town with their simple Italian ethos, vegan and gluten free offering. The team's greatest inspiration in the kitchen is drawing from their Italian heritage, whilst passionately sharing how to eat vegan and gluten-free friendly without compromising on taste.
