Speakers Bio
Ellison Chung (he/him/his) is an educator and clinician with a background in emergency medicine, inclusive pedagogy, and curriculum design. He has worked as an emergency nurse clinician at Surrey Memorial Hospital and as teaching faculty at BCIT in the Specialty Nursing Program, where he also served as interim Faculty Development Lead. After completing a Master’s in Health Leadership and Policy in Clinical Education at UBC, Ellison transitioned to an educational leadership role, designing, developing, and evaluating educational programs, such as preceptorship, nursing undergraduate pathways, educators, and internationally educated healthcare professionals across the health system. As a clinical education consultant at PHSA, he now focuses on creating inclusive and impactful learning experiences for all healthcare professionals. His career reflects a shift from hands-on clinical work to a leadership role in healthcare education across PHSA and British Columbia.
Janille Wingson-Gore has earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, as well as a Master of Health Leadership and Policy in Clinical Education, all from UBC. She began her nursing career at BC Children’s Hospital, working on a variety of units, including being highly involved in opening their COVID collection site. From that position, after completing her MHLP, she fulfilled the role of UBC School of Nursing clinical instructor as well as Regional Transfusion Medicine Clinician with Vancouver Coastal Health, for the North Shore, Coastal, and Sea-to-Sky sites. Janille has since returned to BC Children’s where she is now Program Manager for several of their outpatient clinics.
