Pittsburgh Movie Magic

The Pittsburgh Film Office markets the greater southwestern Pennsylvania region as a great location for movie, television, and commercial productions. Since its inception in 1990, the PFO has assisted more than 200 feature films and television productions to southwestern Pennsylvania. These productions have generated nearly $2 billion dollars, making a significant economic impact in our region.

To facilitate filming in the Pittsburgh area, the PFO provides information on the region, locations, vendors, and crew; and coordinates government and business offices in support of a production. It also serves as a conduit for information, providing assistance to local filmmakers and the local film industry throughout the ten-county region.

Dawn has been Director of The Pittsburgh Film Office since 1994, dedicated to marketing the southwestern Pennsylvania 10-county region to the film and television and entertainment industry.

Through her leadership, the Film Office has successfully attracted more than 180 feature film and TV productions, including Mindhunter, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and The Dark Knight Rises. In the process, she’s helped infuse more than $1.5 billion into the southwestern Pennsylvania economy.
