DAVID EAGLE
David Eagle is a member of three-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Winning band The Young’uns. In 2018 he branched out into stand up and is now a Radio 4 regular, appearing on the last few series of the Now Show. In August he made his TV debut, performing stand up on Dave’s “Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza”. His stand up explores how being blind often transforms everyday life into surreal, surprising comic adventures. One of his accordion-driven songs was described in The Guardian as "a comic tour de force." He has won numerous awards including The Spirit Of The Fringe Award at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival (previously won by Stewart Lee, Ross Noble, League Of Gentlemen and Adam Hills), and his debut solo show, The Eagle Is Candid, won Best Variety Show at Leicester Comedy Festival and was nominated for Best Show at Edinburgh Fringe. In 2019 he was crowned New Comedian Of The Year by Leicester Square Theatre, and at both Bath and Nottingham Comedy Festivals.
