The Houston Regional Youth Orchestra, beneficiary of the fundraiser, is a subsidiary of The Conrad O. Johnson Music and Fine Arts Foundation (COJMFAF). The orchestra is comprised of students, ages eleven through eighteen from the Greater Houston area, many of whom come from underserved communities. COJMFAF, as part of its primary mission, formed this orchestra to provide a rich, extraordinary experience for students who otherwise might not be able to explore music on their own. The Foundation, through your support, gives students an opportunity to study music and a chance to become practicing musicians. It also provides these students the ability to utilize the discipline and structure required to achieve musical excellence as a vehicle to achieve their life goals.
