Pitch & Pair: Pitch Your Single Friends is a dating event for anyone who has ever thought, “Surely there must be a better way than apps, algorithms, and awkward mixers?” Good news-there is. Imagine a world where people are so confident in their single friends that they will literally get on stage and pitch them to you. Yes, this is a rom-com. Yes, it’s time for you to meet the one.
Across two hours, you’ll meet eight candidates, all lovingly hyped by the people who know them best.
Come for the romance, come for the spectacle, come whether you’re single, taken, or just fascinated by the human condition. And if you need some real-world evidence that this works - in marketing, the strongest predictor of a good product is enthusiastic recommendations from others.
It’s called the Net Promoter Score (IYKYK) and every candidate on the stage is a NPS 10.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
HOW IT WORKS
1. Arrival
Grab a name tag that signals what you’re looking for:
❤️ Red – open to meeting your future girlfriend
💙 Blue – open to meeting your future boyfriend
💜 Purple – open to dating any gender
🖤 Black – not dating / in a relationship (spectators welcome!)
2. Pep Rally
Your hosts, an Authenticity Coach and an Educator/ Community Builder, warm you up with humor, hype, and permission to be your charmingly chaotic self. Drinks available for the courage-impaired.
3. Round One: Wholesome
Four contestants and their wingman/wingwoman take the stage-sometimes with a questionable yet heartfelt PowerPoint-to prove why they should be your next forever partner. Three minutes per pitch. Each contestant will answer surprise wholesome questions.
4. Mingling Break (~15 minutes)
Hydrate. Flirt. Witness humanity.
5. Round Two: Spicy
Four more contestants pitch their way into your heart. This time, the questions get spicy.
6. Open Mingling Season
Find love, find friends, or find new favorite characters for your life’s sitcom. During the mingling you’ll have a chance to be heard through:
- Silent Auction: Discreetly pitch your own date to any contestant. Matches may be made on or beyond the event timeline.
- Vote: Cast your vote for Best Wingman/Wingwoman and the People’s Choice Love Interest (anyone can vote-even the taken and emotionally unavailable)
8. Rose Ceremony & Closing
We give roses to the Best Wingman/Wingwoman and the People’s Choice Love Interest and they accept your enthusiastic applause. We thank our incredible contestants, and we say goodbye to you. It’s time to move on to Act 2 of the romantic comedy, so Act 1 must end.
Game on, everyone. Let’s find love and make memories.

YOUR HOSTS
1. Amy Zhou is a professional friend maker, Authenticity Coach, and once had Taylor Swift sing Love Story right in front of her and her boyfriend. She hosts Charisma Workshops at The Charismagic Lab and community building events through Friend Meet Cutes.
Since this is a dating event, she’ll also share that she’s been in a happy relationship for the last three years where they moved around the world together and fostered a rescue dog.
She’s deeply confused by how anyone is supposed to find love in a Tinder-plus-social-isolation hellscape and is determined to create a world where we all meet our partners through whimsical, cinematic, “you won’t believe how we met” moments.
2. Harry Papageorgiou is an educator, community-builder, and designer of social experiences that actually make humans feel human again. He spends his days teaching, researching how people bond, and building systems that turn strangers into allies instead of emojis on a screen.
A philosopher at heart and a reformer by impulse, Harry blends humor, psychology, and a dash of chaos to create spaces where authenticity flourishes. He’s deeply suspicious of algorithmic romance and determined to bring back the lost art of meeting people through story, serendipity, and brave conversation.
Tonight, he’s here to help you drop the armor, trust the room, and maybe, just maybe, walk into a love story worth retelling.
