Be on the lookout for our first Science Café this fall, with retired Stetson Biology professor Dr. Terry Farrell, who will be discussing the ever-complex behaviors of pit vipers and how they interact with their local environment. On Thursday, September 12th, snacks and a social will begin at 5:30 and the presentation will begin at 6:00.
Dr. Terry Farrell worked as a biology professor at Stetson, where he specialized his research in herpetology, specifically in the study of box turtles and pygmy rattlesnakes. He also heavily focused on the foraging behaviors carried out by snakes. Additionally, in Dr. Farrell's time at Stetson, he served as a departmental chair, and was awarded the John Hague Award for outstanding teaching in the College of Arts and Sciences and the William Hugh McEniry Award for outstanding teaching.
