Saddle up, start your engines, and join us for a day of roaring fun for a life-saving cause! The "Pistons, Pipes & Prostate Awareness Poker Run" is a community event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer. We've partnered with the Nebraska Prostate Cancer Alliance and the Methodist Hospital Foundation to shine a spotlight on a simple fact: Early Detection Saves Lives!A simple blood test, known as a PSA test, can help detect prostate cancer early, often before any symptoms appear. Early screening can drastically improve treatment outcomes and save lives. This event is our way of helping spread this crucial message and making a difference in our community.
Time:
• Registration: 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
• After Party: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
• Awards: Best and Worse Hand Awards at 4:00 PM
What is a Poker Run?
It's not about speed—it's about the luck of the draw! Participants will follow a scenic route, stopping at five designated checkpoints to draw a playing card. At the end of the run, you'll have a five-card poker hand. The person with the best hand wins the grand prize! Best Hand is $200 Worse Hand is $100.
Event Details:
• Open to all: This event is open to both riders ("pistons and pipes") and "cages" (cars)! Everyone is welcome to join the fun and support the cause.
• Registration: $25 per rider/driver Additional Hands or Passenger is $10.
• Free Breakfast: For those participating in the run.
• Goody Bag Alert! The first 50 bikes to register will receive a special goody bag.
• Free PSA Testing: As part of our mission to promote early detection, free PSA testing will be available for attendees or those who were not able to start the run from (1 PM - 4 PM)
• End-of-Run After Party (1 PM - 4 PM):
• Enjoy live music by Throttle Up Band!
• Grab a drink from the full bar provided by The Drinkery.
• Satisfy your hunger with delicious eats from Pops Burgers and Phillies food truck.
• Prizes will be awarded for the best poker hands at 4:00 PM.
