Pipes on the River: Chase Olson

Guest Artist Chase Olson is a rising Senior at Oberlin College & Conservatory (Ohio) where he is pursuing a double degree in Organ Performance & Economics. Chase began studying organ on his 13th birthday with Dr. Angela Kraft Cross. He has performed as organist in the Junior Bach Festival (Berkeley) for 5 years & attended the Oregon Bach Festival Organ Institute in 2021. He has considerable experience playing church music as Organ Scholar (Congregational Church of San Mateo) from 2019 - 2021 & served as Music Ministry Intern at Lakewood Presbyterian Church (Cleveland) from 2022 -2024. Chase has performed throughout the Bay Area & has won scholarships from the SF Peninsula Organ Academy (2018 2022 & 2023) to travel on study trips to France where he studied with Louis Robilliard and Marie-Louise Langlais among other notable organists.
