Pipes in the Park

Can you resist the skirl of the pipes and the swirl of the kilts? Colchester's Lower Castle park is turned into our very own Highland Gathering as pipes and drums from across southern England play their selections of Scottish tunes throughout the day. Admire the young Scottish dancers as they demonstrate the Highland Fling. And be tempted by food and drink outlets and the array of craft stalls. There's also fairground attractions for the younger members of the family to enjoy. Even better - entry to the park is free of charge.
