“Pipa is Universe” invites audiences into a rich sonic landscape shaped by one of China’s most expressive traditional instruments, the pipa, a pear-shaped lute with over two thousand years of history, renowned for its wide emotional range and virtuosic technique .

Performed by the acclaimed duo 双琵琶, the concert presents a rare dialogue between two master musicians, where each instrument becomes both a voice and a mirror, at times contrasting, at times merging in intricate musical conversation.

Formed through a spontaneous artistic encounter, the duo has since developed a distinctive performance style that blends classical repertoire with contemporary imagination, drawing on philosophical inspirations and immersive storytelling to expand the boundaries of traditional music .
