October is Polio Awareness month!
Before polio vaccines became widely available, the US experienced tens of thousands of cases annually. Polio is no longer an active threat in the US, but it has not been eradicated from other parts of the world.
Disease Prevention and Treatment is one of the areas of focus for Rotary International. Polio Plus is the name of Rotary International’s comprehensive plan to eradicate polio globally. L Rotary Club of Denton is proud to contribute to this effort.
Please join us on October 7th as we partner with East Side Denton, TX who has graciously agreed to donate a portion all sales from 4-8pm to help raise money to help our efforts to end polio.
