🇵🇭 Please join us for a benefit concert to support those hit by recent typhoons and storms in the Philippines. 🇵🇭Last month, Super Typhoon Carina coupled with a southwest monsoon (habagat), brought widespread flooding and landslides, displacing thousands of families and causing significant agricultural damage. Tropical Depression Butchoy followed which exacerbated the situation by drenching already saturated areas, leading to more floods and disrupted livelihoods. And then severe Tropical Storm Enteng intensified the monsoon rains and pushed already vulnerable communities to the brink.
Collectively, these storms left a trail of destruction, affecting millions and highlighting the urgent need for ongoing disaster preparedness and relief efforts in the country. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, approximately 8.6 million were affected by these raging storms, and 68 people were killed.
