Cuni is an emo band hailing from the genre’s birthplace, Washington, DC. The band started as a solo bedroom indie project with the Saturn EP in 2020. Now, it’s evolved into a four-piece that incorporates the same songwriting and twinkly guitars of Saturn, but cranks the intensity knob until it breaks off entirely.
Cuni is louder, faster, and angrier than ever before, mixing elements of midwest emo, post-hardcore, and shoegaze into a live set that’s impossible to stand still to. Cuni consists of Jared Cunanan on vocals and rhythm guitar, Aaron Millison on lead guitar, Franklin Parada on bass, and Lucas Kirby on drums.
