Pink Moon Belly Dance with Jules

Join us for a night to reconnect with yourself and explore movement in dance.

For this Pink Moon event, Jules will be serving up some snaky and spicy movements with a pace that syncs up to the season and supports support the reemergence of your feminine. Expect to get a little grounded through stretch, to take a little time unfurling with playful combos, and to find your bloom with fun and free movement in a comfortable environment.

Belly dance is fun way to move that offers many of the benefits gained through exercise and self expression. We ask you hydrate appropriately, and dress comfortably in clothes that allow you to stretch and bend. We generally dance barefoot, although encourage to wear socks or dance slippers if that is more comfortable for you.

ABOUT THE PINK MOON (from the Farmer’s almanac):

Traditionally, we call this Moon the Pink Moon, and it symbolizes the beginning of spring. April’s full Moon often corresponded with the early springtime blooms of a certain wildflower native to eastern North America: Phlox subulata—commonly called creeping phlox or moss phlox—which also went by the name “moss pink.” Thanks to this seasonal association, this full Moon came to be called the “Pink” Moon.
