Testimonials
"The music and setting was "other worldly"
I live in Austin & Love Will Taylor and his music. Even in a town like Austin where musicians are on every corner, Will Stands out With his unique collaborations and concerts, He truly is "One of a Kind." Thank you Will. Please keep your awesome and unique music coming!!!! YOU would be sorely missed were you to leave!!! -Pam B, Ph.D
Thanks for the unbelievable musical service. Will, you take us kicking and connecting with new people who love music and natural life! Then Tony captured the beauty of classical guitar, which for me was delightful, secret toe wiggling while lying on my mat, housed in dark AC while visually surrounded by elms and willows. The hands on energy touch upon request, was an amazing bonus. Can't get any better. Dr. Patty and Bob
Will, last night's show was magnificent. Now I remember why I felt at home when I came to Austin in 1980. There is something precious here, (Holy, actually) and you are a part of that. Thank you. Shara T.

Will Taylor
Will Taylor is a violinist, composer, and musical dream-weaver who’s been threading strings through the Austin music scene for over two decades. He’s shared stages (and musical magic) with Willie Nelson, Pearl Jam, Gary Clark Jr., Shawn Colvin, Shiny Ribs, Guy Forsyth, and even the legendary Turtle Island String Quartet at Town Hall in New York City — just to name a few stops on his sonic journey.
Beyond the stage, Will is a devoted lover of the outdoors and the alchemy that happens when live music meets nature. Whether under oak trees, inside candle-lit rooms, or beneath a Texas full moon, his mission is simple: bring people together for life-shifting moments of connection, stillness, and sound.
A concert presenter for over 30 years, Will produced a legendary 2006 performance of The Beatles’ White Album, drawing over 1,600 fans across two shows and capturing the moment for broadcast radio. He’s a two-time Austin Music Award winner, a Best of Austin finalist in 2022, and a 2024 winner — proof that the magic still resonates.
He’s also an award-winning film composer for the thriller Protocol 7, extending his sound world from stage lights to the silver screen.
Tony Rogers
Tony is a cellist, educator, performer, arranger and composer.
He performs regularly with The Austin Piazzolla Quintet, The Waterloo Trio, Jenifer Jackson, the multi-genre group Strings Attached, performs weddings on weekends, and onstage with symphonies, playing 70 public performances per year, teaches a few hundred lessons and directs the Austin Cello Choir every week on Tuesday evenings for cellists of all levels. In his spare time he organizes chamber reading sessions.
Dave Madden - Piano, guitar and vocals
Dave Madden, an alum of both Berklee College of Music and TED Talks, has been voted Best Music Arranger at the AMP Austin Music Industry Awards, Top 10 Best Keyboards by the Austin Chronicle’s Music Poll, and Best Austin Record by INsite Magazine. A voting member for the Grammy’s, a member of the ATXM Musicians Advisory Panel, and founder of the 11:59 Songwriting Group, Dave is the rare combination of accomplished songwriter and masterful multi-instrumentalist.
About the Music...
Released in 1973, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon is more than an album—it’s a cultural landmark. Known for its exploration of life’s big themes—time, money, mental health, and the human condition—the album’s lush soundscapes and haunting melodies have captivated listeners for decades. Its seamless blend of rock, jazz, and experimental music creates a sonic journey that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
This makes it the perfect centerpiece for a Concert in the Dark. The album’s ethereal textures and emotional depth come alive in an intimate, candlelit setting, where the absence of light heightens every note. Paired with original compositions inspired by the album, this performance invites you to experience Dark Side of the Moon in a whole new way—immersive, introspective, and utterly transformative.
More audience testimonials for Will Taylor
"Wow, we are so grateful to you for such an incredible evening. George and I were so high from the creative energy and the almost other-worldly sense of collaboration. What a divine life you have to be able to participate in such moments of group creativity. It made me jealous that my work world is so isolated. Ah well, it was just heavenly to be part of the experience. We can't wait for the next Strings Attached concert."
Sarah Bird, award winning author
"Once again, very magical and heart felt music, we can feel it when it comes from your hearts, because like tuning, it strikes our chords as well and moves us." - Dan
"The ensemble is fantastic. Each player is very gifted and adds to the whole. No one dominates or over plays. You are the best group I've heard in Austin in a long while." - Becky M.
