What is the Rock of Consciousness?

Creators Kevin Kraft and Pete Kartsounes are proud to present the Rock of Consciousness.  The ROC is a fusion of live music of your favorite artist, somatics and a soundbath meditation?  Rock music and meditation?  Does this work? The response has been a resounding yes!  “It’s a goose bump factory.” 

ROC is unique as it allows you to experience this legendary music in a much deeper way. The times, events and memories associated with the music we have listened to for thousands of hours allows us to look inward in a whole new manner.  Through movement, breathwork and stillness, synced with the music to allow the lyrics to land and unlock so much that this music holds for us. We encourage singing along and embracing the power of a group of voices connected.

Kevin Kraft is a certified yoga/meditation based educator, author, practitioner, musician, sound healer, and founder of Soundshala (www.soundshala.com), a unique movement, mindfulness and music curriculum combining Kriya Yoga, live collaborative music, journaling, breathwork, and meditation to help achieve the mindful benefits of knowing oneself on a deeper level. 

Balancing and maintaining a healthy nervous system and refreshing the overactive mind are essential tools supporting your best version of yourself.  This is delivered through a soundscape of harmonics, overtones and binaural beats in voice, gongs, crystal and Tibetan bowls, drums, flutes and other instruments that help to relax and release deeply into harmony & balance.   

Soundshala offers its signature offerings for children, the aging demographic, organizations, as well as the general public through regular classes, certification programs, workshops, courses, retreats, festivals and keynote engagements. Soundshala also offers one on one customized sound healing and yoga sessions.

No yoga or music experience is needed for all offerings.  We welcome all body types and belief systems. We offer scholarships, work/trade

Kevin’s practice is focused on consciously accessing the inner teacher and increasing the level of our own personal awareness. Through the practices of cultivating our listening skills, we grow amidst both the noise and the silence of vibration. We seek to re-establish health and harmony by un-obstructing the flow of prana through the body's energy channels and connecting to our innate divine essence that is our natural authentic self.
