Join us for the PinInIt Akron Launch Party, a celebration of creativity and entrepreneurship led by Akron middle school students. This unique event showcases the journey of young innovators who transformed their ideas into tangible products, now available for you to explore and purchase.Event Details:

The Journey:
The Pin In In It! project began with a simple question posed to middle schoolers: "What if you could create something that represents your community?" Inspired by this challenge, students embarked on a journey of brainstorming, designing, and prototyping ideas that encapsulate the spirit of Akron. Through mentorship and hands-on workshops, these students developed their concepts into market-ready products.
From the middle schoolers:
"We are a team of middle schoolers from Akron who imagined a wild idea during Camp What If with TomTod Ideas.
What If... we started a business to celebrate our neighborhoods and raise money to help our neighbors?
We created Pininit Akron to put a pin in the neighborhoods for Akron that don’t get noticed enough! We want you to know that the neighborhoods of Akron are awesome so we created products like t-shirts and stickers that celebrate Akron’s neighborhoods and raise money for neighborhood-based nonprofits."
Community Collaboration: This initiative thrived through partnerships with local organizations!
Just a Dad from Akron: Provided expertise and resources for printing the custom-designed t-shirts, turning student visions into wearable art.
Northside Marketplace: Offers a dynamic space for the pop-up shop, allowing the community to engage directly with the students' creations.
Akron Community Foundation: Provided generous funding to support this project.
