PINER (aka Claya Way Brackenbury, @pinermusic) is a singer-songwriter based in Katarokwi (Kingston, ON) who steps into the stories of others and connects listeners with all the complexities of the greater human experience. Her critically acclaimed 2018 debut album The Breaking Point showed “a display of pure confidence and vulnerability” (Mac Cameron, Dominionated). Her followup full-band EPRoot Bound, recorded at North Of Princess Studios in Kingston, was released in June 2019. Piner’s latest album, A Netherworld, recorded at Joel Plaskett’s Studio in Dartmouth, NS, is a project of hope and yearning, during fractured, challenging times.

Piner creates a world of connection, care, and change through her songwriting and direct action for charitable initiatives. Piner brought attention and organized events to create care and community for healthcare professionals, raised donations for the Mi’kma’ki Water Walk in NS, worked with the Mutual Aid Garden Network in Kingston to address food insecurity, and raised awareness about the current national housing crisis. After the release of A Netherworld, Piner toured opening for and sharing festivals/show bills with: Georgia Harmer, Crash Test Dummies, Terra Lightfoot, Charlotte Cornfield, Ombiigizi, Skye Wallace, and more.

DANNY WEBSTER (@danny_webster_) is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based out of Toronto. Raised in a small town in Ontario, Danny was raised on his mother’s love of classical music and his father’s of 80s metal, becoming fascinated by music from a young age. Almost completely self-taught, he started writing songs as a therapeutic activity after experiencing a loss in his family, leading him to release his first album a few years later. After graduating high school, Danny attended a jazz program in Toronto but dropped out after a year to put more time into his own creative pursuits. Since then, he has released many singles, EPs, and four full-length albums exploring folk, indie rock, country, and pop styles. His lyrics tend to focus on loss, love, grief, fear, and anxiety, listing his main influences as Big Thief, Tame Impala, ABBA, Bon Iver, Radiohead and Alex G. Aged 24 now, he intends to continue exploring different genres in his writing and continues to perform with his backing band.

JUSTIN OROK (@justin.orok) is a Toronto-based singer songwriter and guitarist, best known for his unique narrative songwriting and sensitive approach on both steel string and lap steel guitar. His debut album, Kanata, was released in 2022, independently in Canada and under the short-lived Paraphenalia Records in Japan. The record garnered a small but passionate fanbase, and made multiple year-end listsabroad. It features many Canadian jazz, improvised and folk mainstays including Justin Haynes, Felicity Williams, Christine Bougie, Andrew Downing, Michael Davidson, Jesse Zubot and was produced by Jean Martin (Barnyard Records, Tanya Tagaq).
