Pineapple at PortSide: Coffee, Bikes & Beats on the Water
Join Pineapple on Saturday, August 8, for a summer evening of coffee, tea, bicycles, food, music, and waterfront views at PortSide NewYork in Red Hook.
From 7:00 to 11:00 PM, Pineapple will transform the waterfront into a floating café and bicycle repair pop-up. Come by for a freshly prepared drink, bring your bicycle in for some care, grab something from the grill, and unwind.
Coffee and café service
Our café will serve espresso using Nicoletti Coffee’s Napoli Roast, along with a selection of hot and iced drinks.
The menu will include:
- Espresso and espresso based drinks
- Iced coffee drinks
- Hot chocolate
- LMNT electrolyte drink packets
- A selection of herbal and traditional teas
Tea selections will include Tulsi Basil, Earl Grey, Chamomile, Mint, Hibiscus, Rosehip, Rose Petal, Hawthorn Berry, and Juniper Berry.
All drinks will be offered by donation.
Bicycle repair and equipment
Ride over and let the Pineapple Bike Repair team help get your bicycle back into shape. Bicycle repair services will be available throughout the evening and offered by donation.
A selection of essential bicycle parts and accessories will also be available for purchase, including:
- Inner tubes
- Bicycle lights
- Bells
- Bottle cages
- Other basic repair parts and accessories
Repair availability may depend on the type of service needed and the number of bicycles waiting.
Food from the grill
We’ll also be cooking throughout the evening, with sausages from the grill and barbecue chicken available by donation.
Music
DJ Lovegene will provide a relaxed selection of soothing melodies to accompany the sunset, waterfront views, food, and drinks.

Finding the event
PortSide NewYork is located on the waterfront inside Atlantic Basin, near the Red Hook Marine Terminal and Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. See location in Google Maps
Arriving by bike or on foot: Enter Atlantic Basin at the west end of Pioneer Street at Conover Street. Continue through the gate and toward the waterfront.
PortSide is also next to the Red Hook–Atlantic Basin NYC Ferry stop. A Citi Bike station is located nearby at Pioneer Street and Van Brunt Street.
Come for a coffee, a repair, dinner, or simply to spend a summer evening by the water. Everything is casual, community focused, and supported by your donations.
