Enjoy a unique exploration on land and in water at Zoo Miami! Join Miami EcoAdventures' naturalists on a guided three-hour exploration of the critically endangered Pine Rockland, see WWII era military relicts and tour a freshwater lake wildlife sanctuary. The nature adventure includes kayaking along the edges of Zoo Miami's hidden back lake to discover its time capsule layers, oolitic limestone cliffs and secrets of the depth. Then, take a leisurely hike and learn about the history of Zoo Miami grounds, discover the unique flora and fauna of the imperiled Pine Rockland, gain an understanding of ongoing conservation efforts, and learn why this ecosystem is so important to South Florida. Participants in this program will receive a ticket for a return visit to Zoo Miami good for 6 months after their tour.This experience is approximately 2 hours (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM). Pre-registration is required. Participants must arrive at 9:30am.
