Create your own, one-of-a-kind pot for the Kingsport ARTS Festival Raku Firing!
In this workshop for ALL AGES, learn how to shape a pinch pot out of clay and add fun textures and designs by adding clay or pressing tools into your pot's sides. Taught by local clay studio The Clay Gurus and assisted by Linore from Kingsport Cultural Arts, you will create a piece to go into the Raku firing on April 18th during the Kingsport ARTS Festival!
We will also talk a bit about what is different about raku ceramics versus the pieces you may have made before; get ready to learn in a fun new medium!
