Pinball Tournament June 2026 - Target Matchplay & Group Strike Finals

NTX Pinball presents an IFPA-sanctioned tournament at Pinball In The Mall on SUNDAY, June 21, 2026, starting at 3:00 PM. This tournament will be played primarily on NTX Pinball owned machines.
As an official International Flipper Pinball Association tournament, this is your chance to compete for WPPR points! Players of all skill levels are welcome. Come flip, compete, and chase the trophy! 🏆
ENTRY FEE:
There is no entry fee for this tournament! Players just buy tokens for games. Tokens are available to purchase from the arcade for $1 each or 27 for $20. Each game costs 1 token.
QUALIFYING:
Qualifying will use Target Group Match Play with 4-player groups on each machine where possible.
Scoring will be 7 / 5 / 3 / 1 for 4-player groups, with 1 game played each round.
Players will continue playing rounds and accumulating points until the tournament-ending condition is met: once any player reaches 36 points, qualifying ends. Qualifying standings are based on the results during the round in which a player reaches 36 points.
Ties will only be resolved if needed to determine the final qualifying position or positions advancing to finals.
TIMING ESTIMATE: ⏱️
Qualifying pace is expected to be about 20–30 minutes per round.
Expected qualifying length: approximately 6–7 rounds, which we estimate to take about 2.5–3.5 hours, depending on player count and game times.
FINALS:
The top 16 players advance, or fewer if there are fewer than 32 players.
Finals will use a two-strike Lenient Group Strikes format. Once a player receives two strikes, they are eliminated from the tournament.
Strikes are awarded by group size as follows:
4-player groups: 3rd and 4th receive a strike
3-player groups: 3rd receives a strike
2-player groups: 2nd receives a strike
Finals are expected to take an additional 2.5–3 hours to determine a winner.
ANTICIPATED TOURNAMENT VALUE: 📊
Qualifying is expected to be 6–7 games. In mostly 4-player groups, this counts as 12–14 meaningful games toward TGP.
Finals are estimated at an additional 14 meaningful games toward TGP.
With 4% TGP per meaningful game, the estimate is:
Low end: 12 + 14 = 26 meaningful games → 104% TGP
High end: 14 + 14 = 28 meaningful games → 112% TGP

The arcade may have snacks and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase.
Players are also welcome to BYOB and bring snacks or food to enjoy during the event. Sharing is always appreciated!
