Pinay Fresh x Maarte LA Watch Party

Come join us for the very first Pinay Fresh IRL gathering and LA premiere of Maarte, a documentary series on Pinay (Filipina) Creatives from across the diaspora doing the damn thing. We will welcome New Yorker, Roxanne Lim, director of Maarte for an intimate Q&A prior to the screening.
We'll be serving local Filipino eats with a musical performance from LA-based artist, Lotti, as well as, chances to grab amazing prizes from Filipino-owned businesses.

All ticket proceeds will cover basic event expenses and the remainder will be donated to the docuseries for its ongoing production.

About Maarte:

MAARTE is a docuseries that showcases Pinay creatives from across the diaspora. MAARTE is a movement to paint a richer, more inclusive portrait of Pinay experiences that transcends the boundaries of traditional narratives.

About the Director, Roxanne Lim:

Roxanne Lim is a queer, Filipina-American writer, director, and producer from Uptown NYC. Her career portfolio spans as far as Chicago, London, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area, with clientele that includes HOT97, NETFLIX, DEF JAM, AMAZON, and CITIZEN’S BANK. Prior to the pandemic, she co-founded WOVXN, a collective committed to improving access for women in the arts through skillshare workshops and events.
She is fluent in internet, mom to a 15-year-old Shih-Tzu, and lover of all things calamansi. You can follow her on IG @rxnnlm.
