Pilates 101 is your introduction to a powerful, foundational movement practice designed to build strength from the inside out. Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or looking to refine your understanding, this 90 minute session will help you move with more control, confidence and awareness in every class you take.
We’ll break down the core principles of Pilates - controlled movement, breath, core activation, alignment and mindful progression, so you understand both what you’re doing and why it works.
You’ll also learn a series of foundational Mat Pilates movements in a clear, approachable way with plenty of options to modify or level up based on your body. This will include how to best use common props like bands, light weights, blocks, rings and balls…giving you the confidence to know exactly what to do go forward in all of your Pilates classes!
This is more than just a beginner workshop - it’s your entry point into moving with greater precision, purpose and power.
