Portuguese and Australian singer-songwriter Pilar Pimenta believes in self-awareness/-love/-acceptance/- exploration. Her bittersweet, indie folk pop music with a focus on telling stories of the limbo of longing, make any listener clench their heart and reflect on their own nostalgia.

Being a cross cultural kid, growing up around immense culture and experience Pilar loves depicting heart wrenching stories of her own life and perspective as well as from books, movies, friends or other inspirations. Some main themes including, saudade and home, self- reflection, relationships, love and overall nostalgia and the contrast and conflict of feelings. Her music steps into genres of indie folk pop with connections of RnB, orchestral and the 90s. In other words, a blend of her favourite artists some of which include; Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Tom Odell, Michael Kiwanuka, Bon Iver, Stevie Nicks, Lizzy McAlpine and The Golden Slumbers.

One of her strongest suits is playing live, having played all around Berlin and adapting well to any stage; solo, in a trio, a full band or even accompanied by strings.

The 21 year-old began her musical career in 2021, with her first singles ‘Blu’, ‘Clouds’ and ‘Catch Your Breath’. Her most recent single, ‘Reality's Ways’, part of the BIMM Berlin Album 2022, was produced by Grammy nominated producer Pete Smith and Fabio Buemi was released last summer.

Pilar is always writing but her current focus continues her storytelling with a 5-piece debut EP titled, ‘Are We There Yet?’, recorded in Berlin set to be released 2024/2025. ‘Golden’ the first single, releasing the 8th of November.
